  • Betsy Killins

    SPEAKER

    Betsy was born and raised in Colombia, South America. She works ¾ time at a US refugee resettlement office of World Relief - a global humanitarian agency and 1/4 time in international work. Betsy has been involved in discipleship, church planting, cross-cultural training, member care, pastoral counseling, and overseas work for the last 20 years. She is also a professional Spanish-English medical and conference interpreter. Betsy loves mountains, waterfalls, kayaking, and coffee. One of her absolute favorite titles is "Tia Betsy" for eight amazing nieces and nephews. 

  • Joy Beless

    WORSHIP LEADER

    Joy is a worshipper of God and a lover of people. After living overseas and launching four children, Joy started a worship ministry, The Invitation Project, with live worship events and lyric videos for personal and small group worship. As a spiritual director, she encourages others in their spiritual journey by meeting with individuals and hosting solitude retreats through her ministry, B-Still Ministries, a partner with Mosaic Formation. Currently living in the Dallas area with her husband, Roger – she loves being JoJo to eleven grandchildren and leading chapel at a homeless shelter for women and children. 

  • Patti Weber

    RETREAT SPECIALIST

    Patti is a retired Registered Nurse and lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in Corvallis, Oregon with her wonderful husband, Ed. Together they have 7 children and 9 grand children. She has been on many Azmera Haven retreats so she is excited to be able to support and encourage the women who will come for this time of refreshment. Patti loves cooking and trying new foods, spending time with her family and friends, and being outdoors in God's amazing creation.

  • Tracy Adreon

    Tracy serves on the Azmera board, works at Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse, and has recently retired from IBM where she focused on equipping others worldwide. She is from Evergreen, CO, and attends Rockland Community Church as a Family Ministry Deacon, Bible study teacher, communion server, and scripture reader. Tracy loves encouraging and leading others and in her free time, she can usually be found outdoors hiking, playing tennis, or reading. She shares two daughters Nicole and Elise with her husband Jim. 

  • Crystal Boecker

    Crystal is a trained Spiritual Director, Counselor, and Pilates instructor and enjoys using every bit of each of these practices to ignite women’s curiosity and love for the Lord! She lives in Denver Colorado with her dapper husband and has 2 delightful daughters. Crystal and her husband were global workers in East Asia for 20 years.

  • Vicki Cray

    Vicki is British but lives in Oregon with her wonderful husband, William. They have two adult daughters and one son-in-law, who are much beloved. With her husband, Vicki served in Chad for 19 years in Bible translation. She loves to encourage women and was privileged to volunteer on the Azmera Tanzania retreat recently. Vicki enjoys running, soaking up the beauty of God's creation and spending time with friends and family.

  • Tary Dalpini

    Tary recently relocated from Annapolis, Maryland to Dallas, Texas with her husband, Tom, to be closer to her two granddaughters. She and Tom have three grown kids and the two grands. Tary serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Metro Maryland Youth for Christ and heads the Board Development committee. She loves encouraging women to take their next step of faith and using her gifts of hospitality and creativity to make people feel seen and loved. She also enjoys championing stories of how God is working all over the world.

  • Cindy Jackson

    Cindy and her husband Wick are from SC and have four grown daughters and three grandchildren (with one more on the way) She is the founder of Burn Care International where she teaches basic burn rehabilitation in low-income hospitals and clinics around the world. Cindy is also actively involved as a training facilitator as part of the Trauma Healing Institute. She and her husband have been involved in global work for the past 30 years in Africa, South America, and the Middle East.

  • Patricia Kroeker

    Pat has lived in Gunnison, CO since 2007 to be near her two sons and seven grandchildren. She has attended Community Church since moving there and has worked as the office manager and bookkeeper. She also sings with the Praise Team. It is such a joy to be able to sing God’s praises each Sunday! She attends Bible study each week and is dedicated to serving the Lord in whatever capacity He has for her.

  • Tabitha Murza

    Tabitha is a single mom of 4 kids through whom she learns more about God’s grace than anything else. She has been a registered nurse for 14 years and has been witness to God’s love for her by the care she provides her patients. Tabitha has always loved global workers and is looking forward to this opportunity to be part of something that gives back to them. 

  • Kelly Osness

    Kelly and her husband, Chris, operate a retail store in the small mountain town of Gunnison Colorado. She has been a Life Group Bible study leader, serves as a mentor for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), and was a local group leader for Women of Faith. Her goal is to serve and grow God’s Kingdom through service, encouragement, and leadership. She is the proud mom of Zach (and daughter-in-law, Laura) and Nana to Theo, Lukas, Eva, and Titus.

  • Gwen Peters

    Gwen has just completed 20+years as a stay-at-home mom and homeschooling teacher. She has been a global worker, cosmetologist, bus driver, insurance agent, and in food service. Gwen loves being in her kitchen, spending time with her husband, Cory, and her four adult kids (including a son-in-law), traveling, and trying new things. She and Cory live with their youngest son, two dogs, and a cat, in the Willamette Valley in Oregon.

  • Katherine Ricks

    Katherine is from Gunnison, Colorado. She is the mission leader at Community Church and plays an active role in leading her young adult life group and volunteering with the student ministry. She also plays the bass in the worship band. Her favorite pastime is learning how to play the guitar and taking her dog on walks. She cannot wait to walk alongside ladies and worship with them.

     

  • Cheryl Schuerman

    Cheryl is a world traveler and served as a global worker for 10 years in Central Asia with her late husband, Robert. She lives in Georgia with her mom and spends most of her spare time traveling coast to coast visiting her 7 children and 10 grandchildren! She is a foodie and loves to experience new foods and explore different cultures! She is passionate about serving and loving women who live and work cross-culturally.

  • Karen Thacker

    Karen discovered the value of encouraging women who work overseas while visiting an NGO in Afghanistan in 2010. In 2017 she joined Azmera. She has been a licensed counselor in private practice and is an adjunct professor for the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine.  She and her husband David live in Erie, CO. They have five adult children and four grandchildren.
