Azmera MALTA Haven Retreat 2024 | Prayer Calendar (October 25-30)

Thank you for praying with us! The Malta Haven Retreat has begun, and it is our honor to invite you to continue to pray with us for both the women attending and volunteering. Please take the time to allow the Lord to lead you as you pray for the women mentioned here, and trust that He knows who you need to pray for and why. As you pray may you be encouraged in your own walk with the Lord, and may you encounter Him and know Him in new and different ways in your own heart and soul.

Friday, October 25

Pray for the Haven Retreat as it is in its first full day. Pray for the women attending as they gather to worship, learn, and pray with one another; for there to be a spirit of trust and safety as they share their hearts, struggles and hopes in the spaces created for them. Ask for there to be delightful surprises and for each woman to feel seen and loved.

Pray for Tasha, Veronica, Mary Jane as they minister and serve the women attending through inner healing prayer. Pray that each of these women will be sensitive to the Lord’s leading and will use their words for hope and healing. Ask for protection over each of the women they pray with, that only the words of truth and of Jesus will land in their hearts and minds.

Pray for Elisabeth as she serves through the gift of offering haircuts and hairstyling. Pray that each woman who sits in front of her will feel loved and listened to, and will walk away lighter and filled with hope. Ask for an atmosphere of peace to cover the room these women meet in.

Pray for Annette and Joyce as they meet with women one-on-one for counseling, for both these women to be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Pray they would speak words of truth and love in boldness and obedience to the Lord’s leading. Ask for rest and renewed energy for each day, and for both these women to lay the things they hear and encounter in the hands of Jesus at the end of each day, trusting Him to carry the burdens that are not theirs.

Pray for G as she looks forward to the times of rest, worship, and prayer during this Haven Retreat. Pray that she would quiet her heart and mind and lean in towards Jesus, for her ears and eyes to be open to hear and see the words of truth, life, and love that He has for her. Ask for an increase of sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, for moments of holiness and glory to cover her, empower her, and fuel her for what lies ahead.

Saturday, October 26

Pray for the Haven Retreat today as the women continue to gather to fellowship, worship, and share together. Pray that there would be moments of breakthrough and surrender as the Holy Spirit moves and invites women into deeper relationship and moments with the Lord. Pray for the Connection Crew to be able to rest well and greet each day refreshed and energized, to be filled with anticipation for what the Lord has in store. Ask for there to be kindness, understanding, and compassion for one another.

Pray for Alison, Megan, Kelly S., Nicky, Brenda, and Elizabeth as they minister through the gift of giving pedicures; ask that each one of these women will be enthusiastic and gentle as they spend time with the women who come to them, for there to be good conversations and for words of truth and encouragement to be spoken. Ask that these women will be united as a team and will be able to share openly with one another.

Pray for Angelyn and Barb as they facilitate the creation stations, that they would create an atmosphere of welcome, fun, and safety. Pray that both these women would have fun together and with the women they are ministering to, that they will allow their creativity to flow and would see the fruit of the work of their hands. Ask God to bless them in specific ways during their time in Malta.

Pray for Keitha and Kelly O. as they minister through the gift of massage. Pray that they would be intentional in leaning in towards the Lord’s voice and obedient in following as He leads, even when it doesn’t make sense or look like they think it should. Pray for rest and strength in their hands and hearts as they give of the gifts they have been given.

Pray for S as she waits on the Lord to show her the next steps to take, for the timing and direction to be clear. Pray she would know joy and patience as she looks ahead and trusts God to lead the way, that she would take this time to continue to cultivate relationships around her and not lose sight of what is in the here and now. Ask for peace and confidence that God has something good for her and will reveal it in His good timing.

Sunday, October 27

The Malta Haven Retreat ends today! Pray for this specific group of women as they gather one final time together, to worship and pray and encourage each other once more. Ask for a unique pouring out of the Holy Spirit’s presence on these women as they connect and prepare to go back to homes, jobs, families and ministries. Pray for protection, joy and peace over each one.

Pray for the Cyprus Connection Crew as they begin their journey to Cyprus. Pray for safety in traveling, smooth connections and flights, and as much rest and sleep as possible. Ask that God would be uniting this group of women together in thought, heart and spirit as they prepare to serve together. Pray for protection and health as they are away from home.

Pray for A to have an increase of joy and delight in knowing who she is in the Lord and confidence in who He is to her. Ask for a greater sensitivity to the voice of the Holy Spirit as he speaks truth and love to and over her, that she would receive the things she hears with a humble and grateful heart. Pray for a spirit of light and laughter to fill her and to speak love to every person she encounters.

Pray for J as her family adjusts to having one less person in their household with the recent launching of their oldest daughter. Ask for grace and peace to cover their family, for relationships to be strengthened even as they shift. Pray she would have wisdom and a deepening faith as she homeschools their children and maintains relationships with those around her.

Pray for K to walk in the truth of her beloved-ness with confidence and hope, that she would believe that she is who God has said she is, and that that knowledge would change how she carries herself and interacts with those around her. Ask for an outpouring of faith and trust as she obediently follows where God leads, that she would move and speak with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Monday, October 28

Pray for the Malta Connection Crew as they spend time debriefing their Haven Retreat and sharing stories of what they witnessed and experienced. Ask that there would be a continued feeling of safety and connection among this group of women as they process their time together. Pray for rest and protection over their hearts and minds as they begin shifting their focus from ministry to looking ahead to getting back into their routines at home.

Pray for A as she is going through a difficult separation in her marriage and is dealing with a very recent and difficult health diagnosis. Pray for God’s healing in both her body and in her heart and marriage, that even as she walks in this valley she will know the constant presence and comfort of Jesus with her, giving her the wisdom, grace, and protection she needs on a daily basis. Ask for peace and hope as she looks ahead to all of the good that God still has in store for her, that she will continue to trust and be confident in who God is.

Pray for M as she looks forward to the rest and renewal awaiting her at this Haven Retreat. Ask that as she struggles with discouragement and feeling dry with the work she is doing, she will be able to see and experience a time of rest and peace at the still waters God is leading her to. Pray for protection over her heart and mind against anything that is not true and of the Lord, that she will cling to His promises and goodness to her, and know His presence with her.

Pray for A as she reevaluates the ministries she is involved in and looks to step back in certain areas. Pray for wisdom and discernment in knowing what to let go of and entrust to those around her, while at the same time creating and maintaining new boundaries for herself. Ask for peace and excitement as she sets new rhythms and makes time for herself and those closest to her. Pray that she will see immediate fruit from her decisions and will walk forward lighter and filled with more joy.

Pray for R as she desires a renewed hunger and thirst for God’s word and for her relationship with Him. Pray that she will listen to those around her as they point her towards Jesus, that she will make time to sit and be still in His presence and listen to His voice. Ask that as she spends time in Scripture and prayer she will encounter the Lord in ways she hasn’t known before.

Tuesday, October 29

Pray for the Cyprus Connection Crew as meet and rest and begin preparations for their Haven Retreat. Pray for a spirit of unity and fun to cover this group of women, especially as they wait for the women from the Malta Connection Crew to join them. Ask for a unique spirit of anticipation and hope among this group of women, for the time they spend in prayer to be saturated with the leading and voice of the Holy Spirit.

Pray for the women from the Malta Haven Retreat as they get back home to their families and responsibilities, that they would continue to walk in the encouragement, truth, and rest that they received in Malta. Pray for protection over their hearts and minds, for the words of life and truth that they heard to be rooted in their hearts as they get back into the swing of things at home. Ask that as they share the things they heard and experienced, they would continue to be encouraged and would continue to see how God was and is at work in their lives.

Pray for H as she transitions from ministry in Switzerland to ministry in Belgium. Pray she would end things well and know peace as she trusts the things she has done with others to carry on her work. Ask for focus and a calm mind as she begins in a new place with new people, for the details to come together and for her to know rest and renewal at this retreat.

Pray for A and her daughter as they adjust to a new living space, and deal with the challenges of the landlord not following through on things that were promised. Ask for trust and peace as they wait and hope for things to smooth out and settle down. Pray for her relationship with her daughter as her daughter is experiencing a lot of emotional difficulties; pray for peace and understanding, and a spirit of calm and love to fill the atmosphere in their home.

Wednesday, October 30

Pray for the Malta Connection Crew as they begin their journey home, for those not going on to Cyprus. Pray for safety and rest in their travels, and for many moments of connection with the Lord as they continue to process and ponder their time in Malta at the Haven Retreat. Ask for good weather for traveling, for smooth flights, and for rest on each leg of their journey. Pray they would be encouraged at what God is doing, and would know the work of their hands and the words of their mouths were used for the good of the women they interacted with and for God’s glory above all.

Pray for T as she and family/team partner with a local compassion ministry, that they would be united in purpose and focus. Ask for clear communication, understanding and a depth of joy as they serve their community alongside one another, that those they minister to would encounter Jesus and His love through the words and actions of those serving them. Pray for fruit to be seen, the gospel to be shared, and the glory of God to be witnessed in greater measure.

Pray for E as she processes significant events from the past two months, that she would take time to not only acknowledge things that need to be changed or adjusted for the future but would also make time to sit and be still and allow the Lord to show her areas He was specifically at work during those times of specific ministry. Pray for hope and excitement for what is yet to come, and for joy in seeing the fruit of the work of her hands as God continues to move. Ask for rest and time with the Lord to be a consistent practice in her life.

Pray for N as she finishes her German studies and re-enters the work force. Ask for direction and peace in God’s leading as she works and make new relationships with the people around her. Pray for confidence in who she is and faith that God will be with her in this new season of life.
